How do I start my own website for free?

I want to start a website where people can ask me questions. Kinda like an advice column, mostly about relationships. Come visit is if I ever learn how to start one.

Almost anyone can build a website. However for it to look professional you will need a nice template designed by a professional. Also just because you build a website doesn’t mean people will find you. That takes a combination of time and money.

You can use template based free websites from http://www.google.com/a/help/intl/en/admins/editions.html

Geocities.yahoo.com

and http://www.weebly.com/

http://www.tripod.lycos.com/compare/index.tmpl

https://www.blogger.com/

http://360.yahoo.com/

Or if you want to get fancy you can buy a domain from godaddy and use their hosting. While it is not free you won’t have ads on your pages.

Interpersonal Relationships : How to Spot Relationship Red Flags

Online Dating Red Flags

Online dating is a medium where placing faith in a potential mate, a stranger at that, is very risky, and with good reason.
There are a lot of villains out there lurking, ever watchful for potential victims. If you’re in an online dating relationship or thinking about engaging in one, it is of the utmost importance to watch out for red flags. These are telltale signs that you should ditch the guy and sever all ties immediately. Here are some of the signs you ought to look out for:

– Asking for personal information or being too friendly. If someone is volunteering personal information right from the beginning of your correspondence, be wary. This especially applies to someone who asks you for personal information at this stage of the “date”. By now everyone knows that the Internet isn’t always a safe place to meet people and certain precautions should be taken before meeting up. If he seems to throw caution to the wind, it could mean trouble. There is a proper time for volunteering and learning personal information and it is up to you to protect yourself.

– Suspicious means of communication. This can include phone calls and even pagers. Here are some scenarios that spell trouble:

– No solid contact number. You can only call him at a payphone.
– You have to page him in order to have a conversation. He can call you but you can’t call him.

– You can only talk at a certain given time.

– Asking for financial aid. Ridiculous as it may seem, some people really do this. If you’re still dating online, it obviously shows that the relationship hasn’t progressed to the next level and having someone ask you for money merely indicates that his financial condition isn’t very stable. Moreover, it could also mean that he’s just trying to extort money from you. Having someone ask for money at this stage in the relationship should push your “danger” button.

While there may be a logical explanation if such instances occur, common sense dictates that if something doesn’t seem right, it’s because it’s not right.

Online dating is fun and productive if done properly. However, troublesome people cannot be effectively discouraged by dating agency personnel. It’s up to you to protect yourself. You can do so by familiarising yourself with the red flags. If you see one, don’t hesitate to make a run for the door!
